Appearance
Thoryl is of medium build, slightly more built than many Elves, but not as much as many Men. He always wears the uniform of the Glade Guard, his old unit, but he also wears a bandanna across his lower face, adding to his imposing presence.

Personality
Thoryl is a shady figure, preferring his own company over most. He is very distrustful, but those he calls friends, he trusts more than himself. Striking out against one of his friends is like striking at him. He is a kind person at heart, and it is more than possible to have an enjoyable conversation with him. In battle he is fierce and has been called on a number of occasions 'the Wild Animal'

History
Thoryl is the son of noble wood-elf Tanaka of Light, which has led to a slightly abnormal birth and upbringing. Due to the shadowy nature of Thoryl's being, most of his history is unknown and certain fragments are known only by certain individuals. However, if all the information is gathered only the following would be known:

His father Tanaka was often suspected as been touched by chaos. As a result his father spent most his adult life outside of the forest. However, when Thoryl's mother fell pregnant with him, she left the forest in search of Tanaka. When the two were finally reunited Tanaka decided it was time to return home and gathered a small band of warriors, and made the dangerous march home. It was not long before Tanaka made it back and his wife gave birth to Thoryl, who grew up on the legends of the brave who helped return him.

Thoryl was only seen as a child once when his father took him to see his friends outside of Loren. By this point the dwarves of the returning party had crafted a sword, as a gift and a reminder to Thoryl of the brave people who risked everything, to get his father and mother home. The group often remarked about Thoryl's playful nature and that he was quite talkative.

At some point in time Thoryl was involved in a great tragedy. The village of his home was burned to the ground, his friends impaled on the spearheads of unkown adversaries. The event caused a great locking in Thoryl's mind. He was warped into a being of distrust and secrecy, keeping his thoughts to him alone. After time, he found the guild of his father, the home of the Disciples of the Eight. Here he found his new home, but if only for a while.

Thoryl had to earn his keep within the guild, so he trained as best he could, striving to fight darkness wherever it may rear it's horned skull. However, he was sent on a job with an allied guild (this is how he met Cadranmil) but something terrible happened, resulting in the death of a number of people. To this day Cadranmil and Thoryl have spoken of very little of this to anyone.

Thoryl decide that life at the guild was to dangerous and left with Cadranmil. The two, along with another man, Darudia Volvagia, established a guild of their own, aimed at fighting the forces of destruction however possible.
