About AQS RankingsThis is a featured page

OOC, the AQS Ranking system is purely for sake of respect and responsibility. The Founders of the Guild are at all time right and have all the sway over RP direction, alliance with other guilds, etc.

IC however, the hierarchy is taken very seriously indeed. The Hol Founder's word is final on all decisions, though it is unlike the AQS Hol Founder to go against what the guild desires. Important decisions in-story are decided by a court, made up of two members from each ranking division.

Structure

The Adrashtai Quasa Shelteth has a strict hierarchy code that is absolute at all times and follows a strong chain of command.

Founders -
These people are the foundation of the guild. Without them the guild would quickly fall into disarray. They handle the higher running of the guild and have the final say in any matter that is brought to their attention.

MPGs -
Members of the Personal Guard include all members of both companies; the Quarth a Selu Seraless and the Coralenni a Palantiri Utuliens. These are also known as the Selu Sera and the Palan Utu. MPGs are higher in rank than officers, but do not have the same authorities and privileges. Officers are in charge of a particular responsibility, and MPGs are just guards to (primarily) the Founders.

Officers -
These people are responsible for the day to day running of the task they have been put in charge of and mostly handle the petty squabbles of guild life. They are mostly seen leading the training groups round the guild hall or leading some expeditions of rookies, to bloody their hands in combat.

Veterans -
These are people who have either been with the guild for some time, or have been out on a number of operations and returned to talk of them. Either way these people have earned their place within the guild and such have more freedom in their actions. Each veteran is often put in charge of small squad of rookies. Better privileges, more responsibility.

Rookies -
These people are the newest members of the guild and therefore have to prove themselves to the rest of the members. They have the least freedom and many areas of the guild grounds are off limits to them. Rookies have a strict timetable to follow. After a number of weeks they may chose to undertake the entrance exam commonly called the "proving grounds" by the Veterans. It is not uncommon for Rookies to be killed during the exam and therefor any Rookie wishing to take the exam must first get either an officer, or three veterans to approve them to the guild founders. Founders have the authority to enter Rookie’s personally.

About AQS Rankings - Adrashtai Quasa Shelteth
AQS uses a special promotion system known as the Proving Ground. The Proving Ground is an assault course in which Members post an (IC) attempt.

This gives a definite and unchanging (mostly) setting for the member to manipulate into his post. It helps the Founders see where peoples strengths lie, how imaginative they are, how smart they are, and how well-read in both lore and grammar they are.

As Founders we are looking to promote those who have a good understanding of the means of RPing; Interactivity, social connectivity, and wit. And those that choose a more interesting way to complete each part of the fictional course.

THE PROVING GROUND

Only the Member who has been put up for promotion may post in the Proving Grounds. Taking the PG under the invite of another member, or under no invite at all, constitutes a breach of guild law and is greatly frowned upon by Founders, Officers and MPGs.
